
Facilities
Here is a quick tour of our school and the facilities on offer for our students.

Library
We have a library with a great fiction and non-fiction catalogue to inspire reading in all our students. If students need help to make a selection our librarian can assist. We have an seating area for storytime, booths for privae study and a large central desk for collaborative group work.

Junior Classrooms
Our junior classroom are large open spaces with lots of great resources to help support hands on learning. There is a great range of reading and writing supports as well as ipad/laptop devices. A glassed room off each area is used for small group work or one-on-one tutoring as needed.

Garden
Our garden produces an abundance of fruit, vegetables and herbs that are utilised in our kitchen program. We have 2 large hot houses that we plant seeds or seedlings in, and nurture right through to harvest time. Students in our kitchen garden program from Year 3 to 6 learn how to run a productive garden. We also tend a chicken coup and gather eggs for the kitchen.

VCE Study Centre
We have a dedicated classrom space for Year 11 & 12 students. Adjoining this space is a study area for quiet study or collaboration. Resources to help promote career pathways are available. A VCE staff office is also part of the centre.

Music - House of Rock
The 'House Of Rock' is a welcoming creative music space that promotes collaboration. There is a band area suitable for class work or band practice, There are a number of workshop areas for solo or small group practices or piano lessons. We have a number of music teachers that also provide private tuition. We have a school band that performs at school events and even go on tour. A full sound recording studio is on site and is an integral part of our Sound Production course.

Indoor Heated Pool
Through years of community fundraising. we are thrilled to have an indoor heated pool to help teach our students how to stay safe in the water in a comfortable and controlled environment. We also hold our annual swimming carnival in our 25 metre pool and regularly offer a before school lap swimming program.

Outside of school hours, this facility is run as the Apollo Bay Aquatic Centre with associated entry fees. They also offer swimming lessons.

Conference Room
The conference room can be used for small classes or for Virtual Schools programs or online specialist programs. With a large custom display with sound support students can access a vast range of virtual programs.

Art room
Our Art room provides lots if inspiration for students to express themselves creatively. From painting, illustration and sculptural works inspired by a number of great artists - the students bring it to life.

Woodwork
Our woodwork room has all the cutting, shaping and buffing equipment needed to create a quality wood construction. Pieces are welcome to be taken home after being assessed for the whole family to enjoy.

Outdoor Play Spaces
We have a junior school play area with a slide, monkey bars, tunnel, marco polo poles and more. We also have a large covered sandpit area with a large tunnel to explore. In good weather we also open up our PlayPod area that has a boat and lots of extra equipment that can be used for creative play and exploration. We are looking forawrd to installing a ninja style obstacle course for the Year 5 to 8 students later in 2025.

Kitchen
Our school kitchen brings the garden harvest into beautiful fresha nd healthy meals. Kitchen garden students learn how to work together to create a 3 course sit down meal for a shared lunch in the dining room. Senior students can choose Food Tech and production and cater events and become a trained barista.

Leisure Centre
Our Leisure Centre is utilised for many sports lessons during and after school. It can be converted from a basketball court to tennis courts, badminton courts, soccer field and more. Many school assemblies and events are held here throughout the year.

Outdoor sports facilities
We have 2 outdoor courts suitable for netball, basketball or tennis. There is also a rebound wall for ball sports. A climbing wall is located on the external wall of our Science building.

Science laboratory
We have a science laboratory with facilites for a wide range of pracs to inspire and extend our students scientific knowledge. With space for small group work conducting experiments with easy access to gas, water and a fume cupboard.

IT services
We have an onite IT team that helps us keep our technology hubs stocked with ipads and laptops ready for our sessions. If students are encountering any IT issues the team do their best to get them back in action asap!

Pottery
We have a pottery wheel and kiln available to create and fire students clay creations. Students will learn t explore structural forms and glazes that look amazing!!

Technology hubs
Hubs with ipads for the Prep, 1 & 2 students are ready to go when the teacher needs. Students from Year 3 up are allocated hubs with laptops. These are shared amongst year levels as needed. Students in VCE are welcome to bring their own device if they wish.

School buses
We have school buses available on site. this allows us to hold a number of subjects that involve getting out in nature and learning more about our environment, the culture of its people, and how we can have a positive impact.

Surf equipment
We are super fortunate to live so close to idyllic beaches and we take full advantage by offering a surfing elective. We also run Cadets - and after school program for younger students to learn about the ocean environment, safety, boardsurfing and surfing with assistance close at hand. It is great to watch students grow in confidence in an setting that can be quite challenging at times - and have a whole heap of fun!

Wellbeing room
We have a wellbeing room for our wellebing staff to work one-on-one or with small groups of students to help them use a growth mindset, build confidence and lifeskills and provide other specialised support.
