About CSEF
Camps, School Excursions Fund
CSEF allows families to receive government assistance towards the cost of their child's camps and school excursions. Payments are made directly to the school and are tied to the student.
In 2025, the amounts were as follows:
-
$154 per year for eligible primary school students
-
$256 per year for eligible secondary school students.
Any unused portion each year automatically rolls over to the following year.

The CSEF payment cannot be used towards books, stationery, school uniforms, before/after school care, formals or debutante balls.
Schools will need permission before allocating CSEF funds and a credit note will stay on the family account until the family advises the school how they want the funds allocated. If credit for a year is unused, any credit rolls over to the following year.

Families who have more than one child at the same government school can combine (or pool) their CSEF to use on one child or for a specific activity (for example, a camp). Please click the relevant button below to view your relevant CSEF application:

State School Relief (SSR)
School Savings Bonus (SSB)
Ongoing program
State Schools' Relief (SSR) is an autonomous, charitable organisation that assists Victorian government school students who are experiencing financial disadvantage because of short-term crisis or long-term chronic need.

SSR assistance will be provided by either direct supply of uniform items or uniform vouchers for redemption from school uniform suppliers.
Once-off payment
In 2024/2025, the Australian government introduced a once-off support package of $400 per government school students. This allocation was available for camps & excursions, uniform purchases and with some book suppliers. This is not means tested, however funds cannot be used towards devices or paid out.

You can use these funds over time and they can be redistributed to other students within the same family at our school. If you are unsure of your code, please contact the school.
